It is hard to miss Dyro these days. As a master remixer, he's remixed everyone from the biggest artists in dance music like Calvin Harris & Nicky Romero, and Laidback Luke, to huge pop stars like Katy Perry. Now he's breaking out into the scene with his own awesome original productions!

We checked Dyro out on the Revealed bus earlier in the week, and then caught up with him at Ultra Music Festvial, during weekend 2, to talk about his new track "Leprechauns and Unicorns," what music he's listening to, and his best dance move! Check it out:

How would you describe your sound? Because you’ve remixed for quite a few different genres within dance music, and even outside of dance music.

Well, there are always a few key ingredients in my music. One is energy, and one is a musical value to it. So it’s still good chord progressions, good melody, so there’s an educated level to it, but still hard-hitting.

How did you come into remixing for Katy Perry?

Well, that was actually through my management. But I think one way or another they found my music and they just requested it. That’s how it goes down!

Is there anyone who has been a big support to you in your career so far in particular?

Yeah, definitely Hardwell – he’s done a lot for me in the past. He picked me up as an artist from when I was nothing to where we are today. So yeah, definitely Hardwell has done a lot for me.

As a producer and a master of remixes, you make a lot of music, but who are you listening to at the moment?

The new album of Justin Timberlake is really good. Yeah, I try to listen to all the different genres. I don’t want to be in one box of certain music. So I don’t listen to only EDM music, I listen to all music. Just whatever I like.

Is there anyone that you’re dying to work with? If you could pick anyone, who would it be?

Wow, that’s a hard one! I think Daft Punk would be legendary.

Do you have anything going on in the studio right now?

I just finished a collaboration with Hardwell, which we just premiered on the main stage. I finished a collaboration with Tiesto, we also premiered it yesterday. Yeah, a lot of originals. I try to focus more on originals because for a beginning artist, like, who is just getting into it, it’s important to do a lot of remixes to spread your name on the different fan bases. So once you do that, and create your own fan base, you can start focusing more on originals. And that’s what we’re trying to do right now. I made a new track that’s going to be released on Revealed. It’s called “Leprechauns and Unicorns”- weird title, but it’s doing really well right now, and I’m getting a lot of great response on it.

What are you looking forward to the most in 2013?

You know, everybody has their wishes like number one Beatport hit, or a DJ Mag entry, but you know, I just love what I’m doing right now, and I hope to be doing this for a long time. So that’s my only wish.

As a DJ and a producer, you make people dance. And this past week, you posted an Instagram photo of you and Hardwell busting the “Dannic dance move.” What is your best dance move?

Wow, that originally started on the Canadian Bus Tour where they were starting weird dance moves while we were playing, it was a lot of fun. And I actually had kind of the same dance move of Dannic, and Dannic made his own version of it, it’s really fun!
