(Boston) According to WCVB, Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron has been hospitalized for "observation" since the Bruins lost the Stanley Cup to Chicago Monday night, the team revealed Wednesday
Bergeron went to the hospital immediately after being interviewed by reporters in the locker room after the loss on Monday night.
Bergeron, was also taken to a Chicago hospital Saturday during Game 5 with what was later reported as a broekn rib, torn catliage and a seperated sholder.
Bergeron played every shift in the final game.
"It's Stanley Cup Final. Everyone's banged up. Everyone wants to help the team and obviously I couldn't do that in Game 5," Bergeron said after Game 6.
SportsCenter 5's Mike Dowling said Bergeron's teammate Shawn Thornton said he spoke to Bergeron and that he was doing "OK," while Adam McQuaid said he visited Bergeron and he was "in good spirits."
