6 Things We're Looking Forward To At 2017 Made In America

Made in America is back for its sixth year on Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia. That means another stacked lineup is headed to the city of brotherly love, including everyone from hip-hop superstars like JAY Z and Migos, to EDM kings The Chainsmokers. While we can't wait for another epic weekend full of all the music and activities M.I.A. has to offer, here's our list of must-sees.

1. JAY Z

The day JAY Z's 4:44 was released, iHeartRadio partnered with Roc Nation to play the album in full every other hour. We can't wait to see that come to life for the first time at M.I.A. before Hov embarks on his 4:44 Tour this Fall. It's worth mentioning that JAY Z founded the festival back in 2012 and performed during its inaugural year.

2. Migos

Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff of Migos have had an incredible year, with a top charting album, Culture, and dozens of collaborations. They're one of the most featured groups of 2017, and before they hit the Daytime Village stage at our 2017 iHeartRadio Music Festival, we can't wait to see what they have to bring to their Made in America set.

3. Marian Hill

Samantha Gongol and Jeremy Lloyd began their journey as Marian Hill in Philadelphia, and there's nothing like a hometown show in front of thousands of fans. They released their debut studio album, Act One, last year, and the jazzy electro sound makes their music stick out from others in the synthpop genre. The track that climbed the charts was "Down," especially after being featured in Apple's AirPods commercial where the guy walks on buildings. You know the one.

4. The Chainsmokers

Alex Pall and Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers have broken all sorts of records and continue to release hit after hit with artists like Coldplay, Halsey, and their songwriting weapon Emily Warren. Their 2017 album, Memories...Do Not Open, flew to the top of the charts, and "Closer" has spent 50 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #1. Who knows, maybe they'll bring a special guest or two!

5. Vic Mensa

On July 28th, Vic Mensa will be releasing his highly anticipated debut LP, The Autobiography. We got a sneak preview at a listening event in New York City, where the Chicago native discussed the making of the album. The features include Chief Keef, The-Dream, Ty Dolla $ign, Weezer, and more, and the project was executive produced by Chicago-based No I.D., who also worked on JAY Z's 4:44. Vic always delivers a powerful narrative through his lyrics, and everyone will surely see that when he hits the stage at M.I.A.

6. Sampha

Sampha's ethereal voice has been featured on Beyoncé, Drake, Kanye, and Solange records to name a few. He injects emotion and soul into all of his projects, and released his debut studio album, Process, back in February. Seeing him live might bring us to tears. And we're ready for it.
