The Red Sox season opener is today in Baltimore against the Orioles! Jon Lester is set to pitch, but whether or not Shane Victorino will be able to play is still up in the air. If he is cleared by doctors, he could potentially make it to Baltimore in time for the 3:05pm start. The home opener is this Friday against the Brewers at Fenway Park.
The NCAA March Madness tournament is down to the final four. Florida will take on Connecticut and Wisconsin will play Kentucky this Saturday. The winners of those two games will face off in the final next Monday.
Avicii was recently hospitalized in Miami for abdominal pains, which led to him having to get surgery to remove his gall bladder. The illness kept him from performing at the Ultra Festival this past weekend, but he expects to be back on his feet soon, and (hopefully) just in time for his performance at the Garden here in Boston on April 10th! "It's a routine procedure and all going well, I expect to be fully recovered and back on my feet in time for my US True Tour. Thanks for your concern everyone, it means a lot to me!" the DJ said.
Josh Elliott is leaving his longtime job as morning news anchor on Good Morning America. He had reportedly been negotiating with producers for a raise these past few months, but apparently he was asking for too much. ABC decided to let him go instead of meeting his pay demands. ABC correspondent Amy Robach will replace him on the morning show, starting today. Elliott took a new gig on NBC Sports where he will report on events like the Olympics and Sunday Night Football.
