Accoring to a new report by the Advocates for Highway and Auto Safety just 39 states have "open container laws" banning open alcoholic beverages in vehicles.  Not that I am encouraging/condoning/promoting drinking and driving in anyway, just wanted to point out the oddity of these states not having the law in place.

These are the 10 states do not have open container laws that meet federal requirements.

1.  Alaska

2.  Arizona

3.  Connecticut

4.  Delaware

5.  Louisiana

6.  Missouri

7.  Tennessee

8.  Virginia

9.  West Virginia

10.  Wyoming
