If it seems like women and men speak different languages, it’s probably because it’s true. British relationship coach Julia-Ann Shapiro uses the word "Menglish" to demonstrate how differently men and women hear things.

One great tip for understanding your man better is to know he has a limited capacity for detail.  Men tend to focus on the facts and get to the point.  So if you lay out the details of your day to him...you’ll lose his attention quickly.

Men thrive on appreciation.  If you criticize his efforts or complain, a man feels disheartened.  You then tend to wonder why he doesn't try to please you and you feel hurt.  By nature, men want to please.  So the solution is to try and appreciate what he does for you even if it's not quite what you want.
