When a Roxbury K-8 school desperately needed new books, they had an online fundraiser. When it was gaining no traction, teacher Courtney Maginnis figured asking Martellus Bennett (who visited the students earlier in the school year) to share the link might get it some attention.
And boy was she right.
"I was at the gym last night and I tweeted him. Within minutes he tweeted me back and said ‘Miss Maginnis what do you need? How much?’ I said $3000 is the goal. He said ‘send me the link I’ll hook you up.’ And he did." Miss Maginnis told CBS Boston
