19-year-old Ishmael Gilbert is being recognized, in a big way, for treating an elderly woman with exceptional kindness. He had no idea he was being filmed, which makes the whole thing that much more endearing.
The woman was embarrassed because she only had change to pay for her order, effectively holding up the line. But, Gilbert assured her that she was not an inconvenience helped her to count her change. He showed incredible patience and kindness as someone secretly recorded the development.
The video quickly went viral and, as a result, Gilbert was offered a job that is helping fund his efforts to become a registered nurse.
Ishmael said that the experience taught him to accept blessings and not question them too much.
