Darius was having a tough year as he approached 40 years old. He lost his job and was diagnosed with skin cancer. He said his backyard resembled his life – depressing.
He kept a positive outlook, though, and remained grateful for his loving family and friends. So, he wanted to give back to them.
He asked for lumber for his birthday and surprised his wife on a five-day trip to New York. What he didn’t tell her, though, is that he would be transforming their backyard into something stunning, including a deck, pergola, playhouse and garden.
