NASA: 7 Earth-Size Worlds Found Orbiting Star; Could Sustain Life

For the first time ever, NASA has discovered seven Earth-size planets orbiting a nearby star.

Wednesday, NASA announced the discovery of a group of planets around the dwarf star TRAPPIST-1, as observed by the Spitzer Space Telescope. Three of the planets are in the “habitable zone.” Planets in this zone could contain liquid water.
