Teacher Adriana Lopez was diagnosed with breast cancer just months after being transferred to her new elementary school in Staten Island. Through it all, she kept great resolve and remained committed to her students.
Kids at the school were so inspired by their teacher, they arranged for the school choir to give her a surprise performance of Martina McBride’s “I’m Gonna Love You Through It,” a cancer survivor anthem.
