Fluff turns 100 this month and the founding city of Somerville is preparing to roll out celebrations dedicated to the legendary marshmallow spread.
Local farmers markets are showcasing all kinds of concoctions that feature Fluff, from pastries to chocolate.
Resident Mimi Graney, founder of the What the Fluff? Festival, released her book “Fluff: The Sticky Sweet Story of an American Icon” in coordination with the anniversary.
Archibald Query, a Somerville resident, invented Fluff during World War I and it rose to popularity in the 60s as they key ingredient in the legendary ‘Fluffernutter’ sandwich.
