The sister of Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas was killed Saturday morning in a car crash in Washington state, KIRO-TV reports.
22-year-old Chyna Thomas died at the scene of the accident, according to Washington State Patrol.
Witnesses reported that the Toyota Camry she was operating was being driven normally, before drifting onto the shoulder and hitting a barrier, then slamming into a sign post.
Thomas and the Celtics are scheduled to open their playoff series with the Chicago Bulls Sunday at 6:30 p.m.
