Let’s be honest, we’re all in serious need of some new music from Miley Cyrus in our lives! Pop music just isn’t the same without her!
Fortunately, it looks like we won’t have to wait too much longer to get our wish granted. Sources tell Variety that the 24-year-old is releasing a new song called “Malibu” on May 12. The beach anthem was co-written and produced by Oren Yoel, who previously worked with Cyrus on “Adore You,” “Space Bootz,” “BB Talk” and “I Get So Scared.”
Cyrus' record label, RCA Records, has yet to confirm the upcoming release.
Billy Cyrus (who now goes by the streamlined alias Cyrus) posted a (since-deleted) Tweet featuring a photo of Miley back in March with the caption “Looks like it’s time to rock n roll. Excited to hear more of the new stuff!!!!! Turn it loose!”
Is there a new song of the summer coming our way?!? We're thinking "yes!"
Looks like Miley may have a new hit to perform at this year’s Kiss Concert on June 17th!
