Anheuser-Busch Stops Canning Beer to Send Canned Water to Victims of Harvey

Anheuser-Busch is temporarily stopping the production of their signature beer to focus on helping the millions of people affected by Hurricane Harvey. Instead of beer, the company’s Georgia factory is producing cans of emergency drinking water.

The company is sending 500,000 cans of emergency drinking water from their Cartersville brewery to the Red Cross in Baton Rouge.

This is not the first time the company has rallied to support hurricane victims with canned drinking water – they made a similar effort in support of the victims of Hurricane Sandy back in 2012.
