Coach Bill Says He’s ‘Not Concerned’ With Expected Sea of Goodell Towels

Some 70,000 turquoise Roger Goodell clown towels have been printed and are ready to fly Thursday night as the Pats kick off their season against the Chiefs. Thousands will be amused; coach Bill Belichick will not be one of them.

Still burning from Goodell’s handling of Deflategate, Barstool Sports founder David Portnoy has ordered towels bearing the face of the commissioner wearing a red clown nose and plans to distribute them Thursday night. Goodell has said he plans to be in attendance for the game.

During a press conference Tuesday, Patriots coach Bill Belichick said he isn’t allowing himself to become distracted by such trivial things.

“I’m not really too concerned about all the exterior things with the game,” Belichick said. “Just trying to get ready for the Chiefs.”

Going to the game Thursday night? Will you be rocking a turquoise towel?
