Category 1 hurricane Jose is making its way to New England, prompting a tropical storm watch in the area.
A tropical storm watch is in effect from East Rockaway Inlet in New York to Plymouth, Massachusetts. The Rhode Island coast and the Cape and the Islands are included in the watch.
The watch is in effect until 4:55 p.m. on Wednesday.
Jose weakened from a hurricane to a tropical storm late Thursday morning, but returned to a category 1 hurricane Friday as it continues on its path northwest.
The storm has been slow-moving, but has picked up the pace into Sunday morning, with sustained winds of 80 miles per hour.
