Aaron Hernandez’s fiancé Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez is suing the New England Patriots and the NFL, claiming the tight end suffered from one of the most severe cases of CTE ever.

Jenkins-Hernandez filed the lawsuit in Massachusetts. In it, she said "Aaron had stage 3 CTE usually seen in players with a median age of death of 67 years."

She is claiming that the Patriots and the league were aware of the link between suicidal impulses and CTE, but failed to share said information with Hernandez.

Hernandez, who was serving a life sentence for the murder of Odin Lloyd, killed himself in his prison cell on April 19.
