Marine Reveals Baby's Gender In The Cutest Way While Deployed Overseas

Welcoming a new addition to your family is an exciting time. Finding out the gender of your new baby is a special time for both mom and dad.

Gender reveal parties are a way for everyone to share in the excitement of welcoming the new baby. Whether you're popping balloons or tossing confetti, it's a fun way to spread the news about the sex of the new baby.

Captain Gregory Veteto was three weeks into his deployment, when he found out his wife Shanelle, was pregnant with their second child.

"The pregnancy, in general, was a surprise. About three weeks into the deployment, my wife emailed me when we were on [the] ship to let me know she was pregnant," the Facebook post said.  

She and her 16-month-old son, Samuel, were back home on Camp Pendleton in Southern California, when they found out that they were having a new addition to the family. They wanted to do something special to reveal the gender to the devoted father.

After brainstorming with a friend, her husband's career as a punter in college gave her some inspiration.
