BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Carl Stevens wrote a poem in honor of the Patriots' AFC Championship victory. Listen below!

A stitch in the hand couldn't save the Jags

Though Tom's injury made them chortle...

They thought that they would beat the Pats,

But then they thought that Tom was mortal...

Jacksonville was way ahead,

They were looking mighty fine...

They knocked out Gronk and moved the ball,

It was just a matter of time...

But time was in the bandaged hand

Of the man who stopped the clock...

His steady eyes surveyed the green

And then he stopped and popped...

Along the path he tossed the ball,

Pass and pass and pass...

You can keep the goat in the barn so long

Before he gets out and eats your grass...

Boom there goes a touchdown

Their running back is on his fanny...

New England has the ball again,

And there goes another score to Danny.

Jacksonville played well,

They plodded long and hard...

They had the Pats upon their heels,

Close but no cigar.

Philadelphia fans...

You should dread the future.

Because we know the present

Won't be restricted by some sutures.

We witnessed another amazing act

Upon a gridiron stage....

The book of lore has a chapter more

Those flawless fingers turned the page....

Those Philly fans will be filled be hope,

Wearing masks of collies and beagles...

Like the Jags they'll think they'll win,

But I feel sorry for those Eagles...

They'll come near the cup of victory,

But it's a cup they'll never sip...

A handsome man with stitches in his hand

Those Eagle wings will clip.

And when the day is over,

When Tom empties his bag of tricks...

He'll raise that bandaged hand

And slip on ring number six.
