BOSTON (WBZ-AM) -- The Celtics have eight full days off between games on their All-Star Break, so head coach Brad Stevens is making the most of his time off. He visited Red Sox camp Monday down in Fort Myers.
New Sox skipper Alex Cora said Stevens wanted to come hang out, but also have that first day of school feeling again, so to speak.
Perennial MVP candidate Mookie Betts said it was great to have the coach drop by and talk to the team.
"Pretty cool to have another big name in Boston come in and speak," he said. "He's doing a great job where he is, so we can kind of look at him and use what he has to say and apply it to us."
Struggling Celtics Have To Re-Focus At All-Star Break

The Celts are second in the East at 40-and-19 with 23 games left in the regular season, and that's obviously Stevens' main focus, especially with his group struggling with losses in three in a row and 9 of 15.
He told NBC Sports Boston the C's just haven't been as good recently as they'd like.
"Really, probably ever since the middle of January, I feel like we've gone up and down at best," Stevens said. "We've got to come back to work and we've got to get back to being the best version of ourselves."
Boston will visit Detroit Friday. Pistons have dropped 3 of 4 since a 5-game winning streak.
