Kelly Clarkson Predicts 14-Year-Old Mass Native Will Win The Voice

Season 14 of The Voice is far from over, but Kelly Clarkson has already predicted that 14-year-old Brynn Cartelli of Longmeadow, MA will be this year’s winner.

Cartelli’s cover of “Here Comes Goodbye” by Rascal Flatts during Tuesday night’s knockout round prompted the singer and Voice coach to make the call. “Brynn will be the youngest person ever to win this show,” Clarkson said. “I didn’t say ‘could’ — I said ‘will.'”

Rival coach Blake Shelton also praised Cartelli’s talent. “The vibrato of your voice is just one of my favorite things I’ve heard this season. It’s awesome,” Shelton said.

After the episode, Cartelli shared her reaction Twitter.

“I am so speechless and mindblown that I am in the Top 24,” she said. “Life is a dream. Thank you Kelly Clarkson... and thank you Rascal Flatts for creating that song. It is beautiful. Thank you.”

Cartelli now moves on to the playoffs, along with Taunton’s Mia Boostrom and Berklee College of Music student Jackie Foster.
