SPENCER (24/7 NewsSource) -- A prominent defense lawyer is dead after a crowbar smashed through the windshield of his car in Spencer.
Police say John Madaio of Paxton was driving an SUV on Route Nine Monday when the crowbar fell from another vehicle. It apparently was thrown into the air and through the windshield of Madaio's car, striking him in the head. Madaio's vehicle then went out of control and crashed, and he later died at the hospital.
