Patriots Fan Who Threw Beer In Opposing Player's Face Banned For Life

A New England Patriots fan has been banned for life from Gillette Stadium after he threw a beer in the face of Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill following Hill's third touchdown on Monday Night Football. The Patriots did not publicly identify the fan but issued a statement saying that "the matter has been turned over to local law enforcement and the fan will be sent a letter of disinvite to all future events at Gillette Stadium."

With just over three minutes left in the game, Hill scored his third touchdown of the game, bringing the Chiefs within one point of New England. As Hill ran toward the stands to celebrate, one fan flipped him off while another fan threw the remains of his Bud Light into Hill's face

After the game, in which the Chiefs lost on a walk-off field goal 43-40, Hill told reporters that he was not angered by the impromptu shower of beer.

“My coach [Andy Reid] told me, ‘Don’t get emotional. Don’t get mad about it because it comes with the territory.' I’m not mad at all.”

While Foxboro police have not issued a statement on the matter, TMZ reports that the authorities are investigating the incident.
