Surprise! Raven-Symoné is now a married woman!
The Disney Channel alum tied the knot with girlfriend Miranda Maday in an intimate backyard wedding ceremony this week.
The That’s So Raven actress broke the news herself on Thursday (June 18) in a series of Instagram posts from her nuptials. “I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home,” Raven captioned a delightful picture of the newlyweds together during the celebration. “I love you Mrs. Pearman-Maday! Let’s tear this world a new a—hole!!!”
Minutes before making her surprise announcement, the Raven’s House star teased, “So something happened this week, that has changed my life FOR THE BETTER!” along with an image of a wine glass. “Thank you to all those who helped and for those who understand why it was small during this time,” the 34-year-old superstar wrote following the reveal.
The newlyweds also shared their excitement on their Instagram Stories, with Miranda posting pictures of her cuddling in a car with her wife, who plants a sweet kiss on her cheek. Other images show the couple wearing their wedding outfits in an intimate mirror selfie.
For those who don't know, one of the earliest moments when the Cheetah Girls star affirmed her pride as a member of the LGBTQ+ community was during a discussion on The View in 2016, referring to herself as a lesbian.
