Gigi Hadid Debuts First Glimpse Of Her Bare Baby Bump

Gigi Hadid has unveiled her baby bump

On Wednesday (July 15), the supermodel, 25, hopped on Instagram Live to show off her baby bump for the very first time. In the stream, Hadid unbuttoned her pajama top, turned to the side and tossed a peace sign up to her viewers. "There's my belly y'all," she declared, admitting that she doesn’t always look like she’s expecting from the front angle. "I appreciate your positive messages. I'm just, like, taking my time with sharing my pregnancy, and you guys will see it when you see it."

Additionally, Hadid took the opportunity to hit back at trolls for criticizing her for not posting more alongside her beau ZAYN. "That's a reason that I felt that it's not really something that I need to share apart from with my family and friends," she told fans. "Obviously a lot of people have lost lives due to [the] coronavirus that was in the beginning of quarantine and still happening. And then we moved obviously into the reemergence of the BLM movement, and I thought that our presence on social media should be used for that."

Earlier this month, Hadid hit back at a headline tweeted by British Vogue, which detailed a comment she made about wearing baggy clothes to conceal her bump. "Disguise...?" Hadid responded to the tweet. "I said in a baggy jumpsuit the front and side views are visually different stories — not that that was intentional or I was trying to hide anything. Will be proud and happy to share 'insight' when I feel like it, thanks."

In April, Hadid confirmed that she and ZAYN were expecting their first child together after several gossip outlets leaked the news. The two are expecting a baby girl. "Obviously, you know, we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms," she admitted during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. "But we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone's well wishes and support. I'm trying [to be present for every part of it], especially during this time. It's a nice silver lining to be able to be home and together and really experience it."
