Technology is making things harder and harder for cheaters, nowadays (not that we feel bad, or anything). Recently, a man’s fitness tracker exposed him as he was getting in some, how should we say it, late night-night cardio?
TikToker and dating guru Nadia Essex (@ladynadiaessex) recently shared a story of how an alert from a linked fitness tracker helped her expose her then boyfriend.
“I got a notification on my Fitbit — the Fitbit that we had synched together — that between two o’clock and three o’clock in the morning, last morning, he had burned over 500 calories,” said Essex. Essex explained she received the notification while making the man breakfast and, as a result, “I shoved that breakfast where the sun don’t shine, darling.”
This isn’t the first time a health tracker has been used to catch a cheating partner in the act. In 2019, NFL Network reporter Jane Slater similarly used data from her boyfriend’s linked device to expose him.
“An Ex Boyfriend once got me a Fitbit for Christmas I loved it,” Slater said on Twitter. “We synched up, motivated each other... didn’t hate it until he was unaccounted for at 4am and his physical activity levels were spiking on the app… wish the story wasn’t real.
