BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Celtics were booed off the Garden parquet Saturday after blowing a 28-point lead against the Clippers.

Worst loss of the Brad Stevens era. But, unfortunately, that was only part of the problem.

Kyrie Irving left in the second quarter with a strained right knee. It looked bad, but the good news is the All-Star starter's day-to-day.

Doesn't mean he'll play tomorrow in Philadelphia, but Irving won't miss extended time.

Say what you want about Irving's leadership, but he's crucial to the Celts' success on the floor.

Over his last 10 games before the injury, he averaged 28 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals, while shooting 53 percent—40 percent from long-range.

Celtics were outscored 75-44 without Irving in that collapse to the Clips, but they're 7-2 without him this year, though that includes some lousy competition.
