BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) â Stanley Cup fever is building in Boston. The Bruins are prepping for Monday nightâs opener against the St. Louis Blues at TD Garden.
The Bruins have been off since May 16 after sweeping the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Finals.
âI think our team is, I feel anyways, has been prepared most nights all year. I think theyâve been prepared in the playoffs. Thereâs always exceptions. I believe theyâll be ready to go Monday night,â Bruins coach Bruce Cassidy said. âI think youâre always concerned that youâre missing something along the way. You donât want to get caught. But, I think you also have to keep a lot of that in-house. You donât want to give too much information to the players where theyâre over thinking. So, some of that is for us, for our knowledge in case it comes up â all of a sudden thereâs a face-off play and we want to make sure weâre on top of it.â
Monday nightâs game will start at 8 p.m.
