BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) âEach of the first five years of Brad Stevens' head coaching tenure in Boston, the Celtics' win total climbed from 25 to 55.
This year, the win total took a small step back to 49 after Monday night's victory in Washington to wrap up the regular season.Â
But, fans know this year was never about the regular season record. It was about building toward a championship â and there were plenty of bumps along the way.
Playoffs begin this weekend at TD Garden. The Celtics will host the Pacers.
âWeâve had our moments. Iâm not sure weâve peaked, which I guess is a good thing. But, weâre going to have to play awfully well and awfully hard, awfully smart, awfully together if weâre going to have a chance to win any game, let alone any series. So, now that itâs here, weâll prepare appropriately. Our guys will be ready to go and weâll go from there,â Stevens said.
The NBA regular season wraps up Tuesday night.
