Gov Baker Says Fenway Mass Vax Site Will Move To Hynes Convention Center

LAWRENCE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Governor Charlie Baker announced on Thursday that the mass vaccination site at Fenway Park would be moving to a new home as the Red Sox prepare to welcome fans back to the stadium for the first time in more than a year.

Speaking from St. Patrick’s Church Parish Center in Lawrence, Governor Baker said the vaccination site would gradually begin to move to Hynes Convention Center. The two sites will overlap for about ten days - the convention center will start offering vaccinations on March 18, while Fenway Park will give out its final doses on March 27, meaning someone could schedule a test at either site for those ten days.

People who get a first dose at the Fenway before the vaccination site closes down will be contacted by the company that runs the site, CIC Health, to schedule a second appointment at Hynes.
