BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Fire Department said they were responding to a level 2 hazmat incident after an "unknown petroleum product" was found leaking into the Neponset River.

They said it was coming from a water outfall near 90 River Street, and that they were working on determining the leak's source.

The department later tweeted that absorbing booms were placed in the water to contain the leak.
