BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Red Sox are the defending World Series champs, but last year's ALCS MVP was actually rooting AGAINST the Patriots in the Super Bowl earlier this month. Gold Glover Jackie Bradley Junior is in Fort Myers for the start of spring training but, before that, he went to Atlanta with his dad for the Big Game—wearing a Rams hat.

"I've always been a Rams fan since I was a little kid," he said. "My dad's a Cowboy's fan, he was jumping, obviously. 'You can't be my son if you aren't a Cowboys fan!' Well, I guess I'm gonna go hang out with mine, then!"

Bradley told reporters that, despite his allegiance to the Rams, he still appreciates the Pats. "[The Rams] have always been my favorite team, nothing to do against the Patriots or anything like that," he said. "I respect them as an organization and they're the epitome of winning and excellence. They're great." Six Super Bowl wins in nine appearances over the last 18 years. Yeah, pretty good. But, so are Bradley's Sox. Four titles since 2004. Full-squad workouts began Wednesday. WBZ NewsRadio's Adam Kaufman (@AdamMKaufman) reports
