BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The first winter storm of the season to hit southern New England has made for a snowy mess.

Snowfall that began Sunday evening and continued intermittently through Tuesday morning has covered Massachusetts in a white blanket, with parts of the state receiving double-digit totals.
