State Police Ask For Help Identifying Hit-And-Run Driver

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts State Police are asking for help identifying the driver responsible for a hit-and-run in South Boston Monday morning that left a 60-year-old woman hospitalized.

The woman was walking through the crosswalk at Day Boulevard, near K Street, when she was struck by a car, knocking her to the ground.

The car, believed to be a mid-to-late 2000's Lincoln Town Car fled the scene in the direction of L street, making a left and then an immediate right onto Columbia Road.

The woman was taken to the hospital, where she remains in serious condition.

The vehicle has front-end damage from the crash, and the side-view mirror was broken during the incident. Other identifying marks include tinted rear windows and a silver or light beige color.
