BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Patriots are fresh off their sixth championship, but the first in a couple chances for All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore. He played a big role, too, with an interception late in the fourth quarter to essentially seal the win.

The Pro Bowler joined Fox Sports 1's "First Things First" and offered his thoughts on what makes his quarterback Tom Brady so special.

"He's a great teammate," Gilmore said. "He's one of the hardest workers I ever played with. He's smart. He comes to work every day. He don't like losing reps, whether it's one-on-ones, seven-on-sevens. He hates losing, and he's a great teammate to compete against every day and push his players."

Gilmore said his first interaction with Brady as a Patriot came during an offseason workout after New England signed him away from Buffalo. Brady said, "Happy to have you on this side now instead of playing against you."

They'll team up again in 2019, and perhaps in seasons to come because Gilmore knows Brady isn't riding off into the sunset any time soon.

"The way he works and the way he prepares, he can play as long as he wants to play," Gilmore said.

Brady is 41, and has maintained that his goal is to play until he's 45.
