Beyoncé. Kate Moss. The Beatles. There’s a who’s who list a mile long of famous artists and celebrities that have escaped to Deià Village in Majorca, Spain to recharge their batteries. Now, add Lisa and her family to that list!
The Donovans recently spent some time in Deià while Max was attending the nearby Rafa Nadal Academy.
“Deià attracts interesting characters with life stories that can fill a book,” local restaurateur Namali Schleberger told Vogue. “I’m not only talking about celebrities, but we get actors, politicians, musicians, designers…They all come here because nobody cares who you are—this is a place where you can walk around without being observed all of the time.”
“It provides the perfect environment to relax, laugh, learn, and love with my family,” Sir Richard Branson said, when talking to Vogue about Deià. Among his many business ventures, Branson owns La Residencia hotel in Mallorca. “My favorite memories are the most simple: sitting around the table talking, admiring the scenery, and enjoying meals and good company.”
