Obama's Official Portrait Unveiled & It's Lacking

Listen I am a HUGE Obama guy and respect his importance to history, but I find his official portrait underwhelming. What is the deal with the green leaves? Why is he sitting? Wanted something better, grander. Something that showcases the first African American President. Sure, having an African American artist is great, I dig that. Just wanted more, wanted to be blown away, wanted it to be over joyed, wanted to be impressed. Hope you don't find this offensive because I just wanted to be moved by this painting like I am with the one below.
