This is incredible.
At the London Marathon on today, runner Matthew Rees had an act of selflessness when he spotted a fellow runner named David Wyeth struggling to keep going.
Both men were about 150 yards away from the finish line, but Rees stopped and gave up his spot in the marathon to help Wyeth to the finish line.
A few seconds later, a volunteer ran up to give additional assistance, and as other runners flew past them, the three men spent the rest of the race walking and jogging towards the finish.
Spectators at the marathon — including members of the royal family — applauded Rees and Wyeth, and the London Marathon Twitter account gave Rees a heartfelt shout-out (below).
