In his first post-split interview, Brad Pitt has opened up about how he’s dealing with the breakup from Angelina Jolie and how he’s trying to become a better man and father.
Speaking to GQ Style, Pitt revealed he’s now half a year sober and that how before the split he couldn’t “remember a day since I got out of college when I wasn’t boozing or had a spliff, or something.”
He touches on the traumatic nature of his divorce proceedings, saying “I was really on my back and chained to a system when Child Services was called.” He also speaks about wanting to put his kids feelings first, “kids are so delicate. They absorb everything. They need to have their hand held and things explained. They need to be listened to. When I get in that busy work mode, I’m not hearing. I want to be better at that.”
He’s started therapy, he’s taken up sculpture and proving that celebrities are just like us — Pitt is also finding solace in the sweet music of Frank Ocean, calling his work “painfully honest.”
