Looks like Facebook is looking to get into the TV business.
A new report claims some 24 shows — both long and short form — will be debuted. The source says Facebook is “obsessed with Snapchat” and as such, will be “intensely targeting” a range of teen-centric shows.
Sports is another area said to be under consideration from the Zuckerberg empire.
One of the sources claims that a virtual-reality dating show from Conde Nast Entertainment, in which people go on first dates in VR before meeting in real life, has already been greenlit, while several A-list celebrities have also been tapped to appear. Indeed, the article adds that one “A-list Hollywood star” has signed on to appear in a show.
