It’s official – Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s "Despacito" is now the most-streamed song ever. In just six months, the track, including its remix featuring Justin Bieber, managed to surpass previous record holder, Justin Bieber’s “Sorry”
“Despacito” and its Justin Bieber remix have accumulated more than 4.6 billion streams across all platforms since it was released in January, climbing to the top of the charts in the U.S., U.K. and Australia.
“Despacito” has been number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks, becoming the 35th single in history to achieve this status. The record for the longest stretch at number 1 is Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day,” which reigned for 16 weeks in 1995-96.
