In the intimate interview, Cameron shows off her impeccably styled nails, which the singer claims have an effect on her confidence.

"There's something about it. It makes me feel more powerful."

"I feel like I cast spells with long nails."

But the eye-catching decorations are only present while she performs.

"In my off-time, none of this," she says, gesturing to her outfit. "In my off-time, I am unrecognizable."

"On my off-time, I look like a little boy," the singer jokes. "That's kind of my energy I like to exude."

Cameron notes the importance of having time away from the spotlight to "reset."

"I feel like when you're so often on camera, when you're off camera, it's your time to disappear."

"I think I like to not be perceivable when I'm not on camera, because it's my reset time."

Cameron also took a moment to praise director and co-star B. J. Novak, whom she worked with on her recent film "Vengeance."

"He's one of my comedy writing heroes."

The film, released earlier this year, had been in development before the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"We were shooting literally one day before the pandemic hit," Cameron recalls.

"We shot basically like three quarters of a film, and then it was like... there's this virus."

"Everybody was debating, do we keep going? How big is this going to get?"

The film ultimately halted production in the face of such uncertainty. "We shut down, and we had to finish the film two years later."

"It took us ages, but I was so happy with how it came out."

"I love that film," Cameron raves.

Cameron recognizes the connection she has built with her fans, both on social media and in concert.

"It's so moving. I think anybody who finds themself in this industry, writing music or acting in films or creating any kind of— anything that people consume and enjoy that touches them."

"I think that you hope to connect with as many people as possible on a real and genuine emotional level."

On stage, Cameron can see an instantaneous reaction from fans embracing her music and connecting with her performance.

"To see anything you create resonate with people in real time like that, it just can't be beat. It's the height of heights."
