List Of Massachusetts Cities And Towns With Snow Emergencies, Parking Bans

With a significant winter storm on our doorstep, many Massachusetts communities are declaring snow emergencies and parking bans ahead of the weekend. Check the list below to see which towns have announced theirs so far.

Arlington: Snow emergency and parking ban will be in effect at 1:00 a.m. on Friday.

Ashland: Parking ban will be in effect starting midnight on Friday and stay in effect until 7:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Belmont: Snow emergency and parking ban will start at 11:45 p.m. Thursday and last until further notice. Vehicles in violation may be towed.

Beverly: Snow emergency will start at 9:00 p.m. Thursday and parking on all city streets will be banned.

Brockton: Snow emergency will start at 9:00 p.m. Thursday and parking on all city streets will be banned.

Chelmsford: Parking ban will be in effect starting midnight on Friday and stay in effect until 6:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Dartmouth: Parking ban will be in effect starting Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and stay in effect until noon on Saturday.

Dracut: Parking ban will be in effect from midnight on Friday until 6:00 a.m. Friday.

Dudley: Parking Ban will go in effect Friday at midnight and last until noon on Saturday.

East Hampton: Parking ban will go into effect starting Friday at midnight and stay in effect until 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. Parking in municipal lots is also restricted from during snow removal.

Everett: Parking ban will start at 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Framingham: Snow Emergency/parking ban will go in effect at 6:00 a.m. on Friday.

Franklin: Parking ban will be in effect Friday morning from 1:00 am through 8:00 p.m.

Lowell: Snow emergency/parking ban will go into effect Thursday at 5:00 p.m. The ban will be effective for six hours later, until 11:00 p.m.

Ludlow: Parking ban will be in effect from midnight Friday until midnight Saturday.

Lunenburg: Parking ban will go in effect Thursday at 11:00 p.m. and stay in effect until Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Vehicles that are parked on a public way during this period will be subject to tow.

Malden: Snow emergency will go into effect at 7:00 p.m. Thursday with a parking ban starting two hours later, at 9:00 p.m.

Medford: Snow emergency will go into effect at 10:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Melrose: Parking pan will go into effect starting at 2:00 a.m. Friday and last until 7:00 a.m. on Saturday. On-street parking is prohibited during this time.

Methuen: Parking ban will be in effect starting Friday at 1:00 a.m. and last through Saturday at 6:00 a.m.

North Andover: Parking ban will go into effect Thursday at midnight.

Peabody: Parking ban will go into effect Thursday at midnight.

Quincy: Parking ban will be in place at 6:00 p.m. Thursday. Residents can park on the odd numbered side of the street if needed.

Randolph: Parking ban will go into effect starting midnight Friday and last until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Raynham: Parking ban will be in starting Friday at midnight until noon.

Salisbury: Parking ban will go in effect at 11:00 p.m. Thursday.

Seekonk: Parking ban will be in effect starting 11:00 p.m. Thursday and stay into effect until 5:00 p.m. Friday.

Somerville: Snow emergency will go into effect at 7:30 Thursday night. Cars must be moved to the odd side of the street by 11:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted.

Tyngsborough: Parking ban will go into effect at 11:00 p.m. Thursday night

Waltham: Snow emergency/parking ban will go into effect at midnight Thursday. No on street parking will be allowed and all cars will be subject to tow.

Watertown: Snow emergency will go into effect at 1:00 a.m. on Friday and will stay in effect until further notice. On street parking will not be allowed but people can park in any municipal or public parking lot.

Webster: Parking ban will start at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Westwood: Parking ban will go in effect starting at midnight Friday and last until 5:00 a.m. on Saturday. Vehicles will be subject to tow.

Winthrop: Parking ban will start at 11:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Worcester: Parking ban will go into effect starting at midnight Friday. City parking garages will be free for any cars that park in them after 5:30 p.m. and until the ban is lifted.
