BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — If you're a winter-lover, there's reason to celebrate: there's a good chance snow will fall across Massachusetts on Wednesday. The National Weather Service is calling for snow during the day, with a rain-snow line setting up along Route 128 and I-95. The Cape and Islands, South Coast, and South Shore will likely see rain showers during the day.

The rain-snow line will gradually move to the east, and eventually all of Massachusetts besides the Cape and Islands is likely to see at least a mix by Wednesday night as the precipitation gets a little heavier. Most of the state, including Boston, is forecast for at least some snow, but the amounts will generally be very minimal.

Accuweather's prediction is a coating to an inch for Boston on Wednesday night, with similar predictions further west. The NWS agrees, saying the total will be around an inch.
