Danny Dawyer was born in Dorchester, MA. Throughout his life he struggled with addiction, a disease that can cripple event he strongest of people and families. Just two weeks away from this years Boston Marathon we learn about his highs and lows of addiction and recovery.
After spending 4 years living under the Charlestown bridge ( a place i drive over everyday,) Dawyer started practicing yoga to help heal a shoulder injury and eventually picked up the habit of running. All my runners out there know the power of fitness to heal but specifically the power running has for healing your mind and soul.
Good luck too all the runners this year and whatever struggles or triumphs you are working through during your training and race day.
