High Schoolers Invent Straw Detects Date Rape Drug

Three high school girls created a special straw that detects the most commonly used date- rape drugs including, Rohypnol, gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB), and ketamine (Special K). Victoria Roca, Susana Cappello, and Carolina Baigorri are all students at Gulliver Preparatory School in Miami, Florida. The tip of the straw turns blue when the drug is in your drink. What a smart way to make anyone feel comfortable and stay vigilant in a place where alcohol is involved.
