More than 4,000 people showed up to the 10th day of peaceful protest this past Sunday, June 7th in fountain Square. There were speakers from the NAACP followed by a march that moved from fountain square through vine St. Police closed the streets at 3:30p.
The day was surrounded by love, emotion, support, and strong unity. We're looking for answers and listening to each other. Many brought water, sunscreen, and sanitizer to share ( because Covid is STILL a thing.) Most were wearing face mask, but i would consider still getting tested.
A big thank you to the Cincinnati teachers union for providing water and snacks at the so called "finish line."
It was an emotion scene, but i'm grateful for the experience and will still continue to have conversations with friends and educate myself through literature.
