Lauren Meizo, 27, received a welcome surprise at the hospital on Monday (4/2).
New England Patriots star tight end Rob Gronkowski visited Meizo at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital, where she has been living for nearly 90 days awaiting a heart transplant.
The visit comes just one week after Meizo posted a viral video on Facebook asking the NFL star to keep her company. Dealing with muscle and organ issues from the age of 10, Meizo is in line for both a kidney and heart transplant after her first heart transplant, from 2013, is failing.
"If anyone who knows anyone who knows Gronk, or his people, please share this video and hopefully I can get my dream come true to meet Rob Gronkowski," Meizo said in the video.
Gronkowski and his brother Gordie stopped by Meizo's room on Monday, posing for a #GronkSandwich with the smiling fan on her hospital bed.
Meizo took to Facebook after the surprise to share the selfie she took with Gronk.
