Born and raised in NYC, Elle Winter makes a special trip to Boston for our Kiss 108 Concert 2019.
"I'm excited to be back," Elle shares backstage with Billy Costa. The "Next Big Thing" winner admits she doesn't get out to Boston much, despite the short distance. "I still feel like I have so much to explore in NYC even though I'm from there, so I feel like I need to get my city taken care of and then I can travel from there."
When it comes to fashion, Elle admits she turns to a certain sport for inspiration. "I am not a tennis professional," she jokes. "I just love the sport for its fashion. The white mini skirts... it's a great look."
Elle's career kicked off at a young age. "I've been singing for the longest time. I did this acting course in New York and was discovered by my first agent there when I was 7."
"When I was 12, I auditioned for Radio Disney and Disney Channel program. I was selected for it, it was called 'The Next Big Thing.' That kinda catapulted my career to the next level... just going on a national tour with them, and the television exposure, so that was a wonderful experience for me," she explains. "Having those experiences really... molded me into the artist I am today."
When she's not busy producing music, Elle dedicates her time to helping the kids of New York.
"I do a lot of work with this foundation called 'Music Is Medicine.' I've been working with them since I was 12, and I perform for kids at different hospitals throughout the New York area."
"I think music brings me so much joy. To bring that type of joy... to kids who need it, is wonderful."
